La Comisión Europea adoptó la Estrategia sobre Sustancias Químicas para la Sostenibilidad en octubre de 2020, como parte fundamental del Pacto Verde Europeo.

A total of €7 billion was pledged by the international community at the ‘Together for the people in Türkiye and Syria’ International Donors’ Conference, co-hosted by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and the Prime Minister of Sweden, Ulf Kristersson, for the Swedish Presidency of the Council. The European Commission and the EU Member States, as well as the European Investment Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, as Team Europe, represent more than 50% of this total pledge, with €3.6 billion.
