The European Union Institute for Security Studies (EUISS) is seeking nine fellows to assist with its research and outreach activities. Seven trainees will work at the EUISS headquarters in Paris and two at the EUISS liaison office in Brussels. Trainees will gain experience working in an EU agency, develop skills in policy-oriented research, and deepen their understanding of the mechanisms and priorities of EU foreign and security policy. The internships will last for 10 months.
Requirements:
- Be a citizen of an EU Member State;
- By the start of the placement, you must hold a master’s degree in political science, international relations, economics or a related field.
- Fluency in English and knowledge of at least one other EU language. Knowledge of one or more additional languages is an advantage.
Tasks to be performed:
- Documentary and bibliographic research on topics selected by your supervisor;
- Preparation of research files, drafting of material, and completion/updating of research topic mapping;
- Assistance with the organisation of events, including administrative tasks, logistical support, searching for and contacting speakers, etc.;
- Updating EUISS databases and compiling contact lists;
- Other related duties as required.
Benefits:
- Interns based in Paris will receive €1,798.96 per month.
- Interns based in Brussels will receive €1,597.95 per month.
