The European Tourism Commission (ETC) is seeking a digital marketing intern for a six-month period (renewable) starting in August 2026. The successful intern will have a unique opportunity to gain work experience within an international organisation based in Brussels, Belgium, and to gain a privileged insight into the European and global tourism sector.
Profile and skills:
- Proactive and able to take the initiative; a creative thinker with great attention to detail;
- Highly organised with excellent time-management skills;
- Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written); knowledge of other languages is an advantage;
- Good command of Microsoft 365 (particularly PowerPoint, Excel and Word), and familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign), Canva and AI-basedcontent creation tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Copilot or similar);
- Basic knowledge of HTML, Drupal or other CMS platforms, the principles of SEO and Google Analytics (GA4)would be an advantage ;
- Ability to work both as part of a team and independently in an international and multicultural environment.
Requirements:
- The candidate must hold a recognised university degree in digital communication, marketing or a related field;
- The candidate must be a recent graduate and available to undertake a full-time work placement;
- Applications from candidates who have not yet graduated by the startdate of the placementwill not be accepted ;
- The candidate must be willing to relocate to Brussels for the entire duration of the placement. A hybrid working arrangement is possible (3 days in the office and 2 days working from home);
- It is not possible to work remotely from outside Belgium;
- To be eligible for this internship, candidates must already hold a workpermit for Belgium;
- Previous experience in marketing and destination management will be an advantage.
