Europol offers annual work placements that give interested candidates the opportunity to learn about the agency’s activities and put their skills and knowledge into practice.
Eligibility criteria:
- Be a national of an EU Member State,
- be of legal age in your country of origin,
- have training relevant to Europol’s tasks,
- have a very good command of English and a satisfactory knowledge of another EU language, and
- not have undertaken a placement or worked for more than six weeks in a European institution, agency or body (including Europol).
Duration
Minimum of 3 and maximum of 12 months (40 hours per week).
Location
Europol headquarters in The Hague, Netherlands.
Benefits:
Monthly allowance of €1,602.
Two (2) days’ leave per full month.
Internships on offer:
- OSINT and media monitoring support internship: The aim of this internship advertisement is to draw up a list of suitable candidates for the Media Relations and Media Coverage team within Europol’s Corporate Affairs Office, as part of the Open Source Intelligence Support programme.
This internship project will focus on providing support to the media relations team in its open-source intelligence activities.

- Internship in Travel Risk Management:
The aim of this internship advertisement is to draw up a list of suitable candidates for the Security and Facilities Services Team, the Risk Management and Security Services Unit, and the Directorate of Governance at Europol.This internship project will focus on supporting the implementation of the Travel Risk Management Process, led by the Security Intelligence and Travel Security Office within the Security and Services Team.Application deadline: 16 June 2026.
- Internship in cybersecurity awareness development:
Theaim of this internship advertisement is to establish a reserve list of suitable candidates for Europol’s Information Security Team (G5-21).This internship will focus on supporting the formal training and development of Europol staff on cybersecurity threats, best practices and applicable policies.Application deadline: 17 June 2026.
