Within PERSEUS we will recruit 40 PhD candidates who want to contribute to a smart, safe and sustainable future. They are looking for highly skilled PhD candidates motivated to approach societal challenges within one of the following thematic areas:

• Big data and AI
• Digital Twins
• Internet of Things
• Extended Reality
• Information and Cyber Security

Duties

The main supervisor will be Professor Kjetil Nørvåg, and the candidate is also expected to work together with other researchers in his group and industrial partners of NorwAI. Other duties:

• undertaking the necessary courses (30 ECTS) as part of the PhD programme;
• submitting an application for admission and a research plan no later than 3 months after the employment;
• conducting high quality research and report progress on a regular basis and in agreement with the supervisors.

Salary and conditions

PhD candidates are remunerated in code 1017 and are normally remunerated at gross from NOK 491 200 per annum before tax, however it may be negotiable (increased) depending on high level of qualifications and research experience of the candidate. From the salary, 2% is deducted as a contribution to the Norwegian Public Service Pension Fund.

The period of employment is 3 years.
