Eurojust is launching a selection procedure to establish a reserve list for the profile of Lawyer linguist.
Under the supervision of the relevant Head of Unit,the Lawyer linguist supports Eurojust in preserving, analysing and storing evidence relating to genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes and related criminal offences by supporting the evidence intake and review, data processing and input in IT systems.

Key accountabilities
- Support the operational work of Eurojust through analysis of information and structured data input in IT systems;
- Review evidence received at Eurojust to ensure the proper implementation of applicable evidence admissibility standards;
- Check the legal and linguistic consistency of evidence data in English with other language versions of the texts;
- Work with and contribute to the development of data management tools to ensure harmonised and legally sound data insertion in the relevant databases;
- Support the exchange of information and the management of case related data, including by providing feedback and following up with the National Desks in relation to possible links discovered in the IT systems/database;
- Contribute to the preparation, conduct and follow up of meetings organised by Eurojust (e.g. coordination meetings, coordination centres and strategic meetings);
- Perform any other duties required by the job.
Requirements
Required experience and knowledge
- A university degree in in law, criminology, criminal justice, or other relevant field;
- At least 2 years professional experience analysing and storing evidence, preferably in the fields related of genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes and related criminal offences;
- Working knowledge (at least B2 level) of Ukrainian or Russian language.
Advantageous
- Knowledge of Eurojust’s legal framework and judicial/law enforcement cooperation in the EU;
- Working knowledge (at least B2 level) of Polish, Lithuanian, Estonian, Slovak and/or Latvian language;
- Work experience gained in a similar multicultural environment. Preference will be given to work experience abroad.
