To initiate the selection process for the hiring of 1 Laboratory Technician  on a temporary contract,inaccordance with the criteria, requirements and selection system:

Skills/Qualifications

• Processing of samples from patients with haematological malignancies
• Extraction and handling of nucleic acids (DNA and RNA).
• Preparation of genomic libraries for massive next-generation sequencing techniques.
• Performance of genetic and molecular techniques for the analysis of patients with MDS included in the project: PCR, Sanger sequencing…
• Cell cultures and plasma and protein extraction.
• Analysis of quality parameters of the results from massive sequencing studies and application of pipelines or standardised flows of pre-analysis of sequencing results.
• Elaboration of sequencing registers

Specific Requirements

1. Be a Spanish national, a national of a member state of the European Union or a foreigner with a residence and work permit in Spain.
2. Hold a minimum qualification of FPII Higher Technician in Clinical and Biomedical Laboratory.

The minimum requirements must be accredited with those certificates that are valid in law, including all those that demonstrate the aforementioned professional experience, in line with the functions to be carried out and the assessment criteria.
In the case of qualifications obtained abroad, their homologation must necessarily be accredited.
The conclusion of the contract is subject to the availability of the project’s budget and to the successful candidate’s compliance with the requirements of current employment legislation. In the event of non-compliance with the requirements, the Selection Board will decide whether to leave the call open or contact the following candidate in order of score.

Selection process

The selection process will be governedbytheprinciplesofpublicity,equality,meritandcapacity,andaselectionbodywill be set up forthispurpose,madeupofrepresentativesoftheresearchgroup and oftheTechnicalManagementUnit of the IBSAL.
The selection process will consist of two phases:

1. Analysis and curricular assessment phaseofalltheapplicationsreceived,classifyingthemonthebasisofthebestadaptation of theCurriculumVitaetotheestablishedprofileandcompliancewiththerequirements.
2. Personal interview: at least the three candidateswiththehighestscoreinPhase1willbecalled,providedthatthescore in Phase 1exceedshalfplusone,theSelectionBoardmaycallmorecandidates for aninterview.TheSelectionBoardmayproposethatthecallforapplicationsbedeclaredvoid if no candidate issuitable for thepost.
