DIGIT is the Directorate-General for Informatics whose aim is to deliver digital services to enable EU policies and to support the Commission’s internal administration.
The position of a Solution Manager for IT information systems in the HR Family, with focus on product development and software delivery. Together with our partners (EPSO, HR, PMO, OIB/OIL, DIGIT), we deliver solutions that creates business value through digital transformation. In this context an ambitious multi-annual programme has just been launched focused on putting in place a new Human Capital Management platform (COTS) to expand further the digital transformation and benefit from the latest technologies for the HR family. The successful candidate, as a member of the programme team, will manage and coordinate a portfolio of activities in DIGIT in close partnership with the business stakeholders.

We are then looking for a highly motivated and experienced IT professional with strong technical skills and project management knowledge desiring to work in a friendly and inspiring environment. The candidate must have the ability to supervise teams of IT specialists, share information and coordinate with other services whilst also having the capacity to take initiative and work autonomously with a strong sense of ownership.
Tech savvy, excellent problem-solving skills, with very good organizational and analytical skills, the candidate must also have an excellent ability to communicate (orally and in writing) and interact in a structured way on complex issues with different levels of end users and technical resources. Previous experience in implementing COTS (ServiceNow, SAP SuccessFactors, …) or HR systems is a clear advantage. The main working languages of the unit are English and French.

- Be a national of a Member State of the European Union (EU) and enjoy his or her full rights as a citizen;
- Have fulfilled any obligations imposed by applicable laws concerning military service;

- Produce the appropriate character references as to suitability for the performance of the
duties - Languages: Have a thorough knowledge of one of the official EU languages and a satisfactory knowledge of a second EU language to the extent necessary for the performance of his/her
duties; - Qualifications: Completed university studies of at least three years attested by a diploma.

- Language 1: minimum level C1 in one of the 24 official EU languages
- Language 2: minimum level B2 in English, French or German; must be different from language 1
