The UNICEF Internship Programme offers students and recent graduates from a range of academic disciplines the opportunity to gain practical experience with UNICEF through internship opportunities worldwide.
UNICEF interns have the opportunity to gain practical experience in the humanitarian sector and enjoy a meaningful internship experience that will contribute to their academic, professional and personal development.
What is on offer:
The internship programme offers students and recent graduates the opportunity to gain direct, practical work experience.
• Duration: An internship usually lasts between six and twenty-six weeks. Internships can be full-time or part-time.
• Expenses covered: UNICEF provides a monthly stipend to interns. A one-off lump sum may also be awarded to help with travel and visa costs, subject to funds being available.
• Visa: If necessary, UNICEF will provide the relevant supporting documentation for our visa applications.
Requirements:
•Be at least 18 years old.
• Be enrolled in an undergraduate, postgraduate or doctoral programme,orhavegraduated within the last two years.
• Proficiency in at least one of UNICEF’s working languages: English, French or Spanish. Proficiency in the working language of the office to which you are applying may also be required.
• Have no immediate family members (e.g. mother, father, sister, brother) working at UNICEF, nor any other relatives in your line of reporting.
• Demonstrate strong academic performance and motivation.
• Any professional experience relevant to the post you are applying for will also be taken into account.
