Internships at Eurojust offer an excellent opportunity to learn about and experience the workings of an EU agency. Recent graduates can apply for a five-month paid internship at Eurojust. Specific calls for applications are published twice a year for internships starting in October and March.
Eurojust offers professional placements across a wide range of specialisms, not just in the legal field. Depending on your academic background and interests, you could work alongside colleagues in the Case Management Unit, the Events and Logistics Unit, and many others.
Requirements:
To take part in an internship programme with Eurojust, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be a national of one of the Member States of the European Union or of an EU candidate country. In exceptional cases, nationals of third countries with a cooperation or partnership agreement with Eurojust may also be accepted, subject to budgetary availability.
- You must be a recent university/master’s/doctoral graduate who, by the application deadline, has obtained a university/master’s/doctoral degree;
- Have a very good knowledge of English (minimum level B2 according to theCommon European Framework of Reference), the working language of Eurojust;
- Not have received more than six weeks of practical training or work placements of any kind, nor have worked or been employed in any capacity within a European institution, body, office or agency.
How to apply:
- Specific calls for applications for professional placements are published twice a year, and all interested candidates who meet the required profile are invited to submit their application viathe Eurojust recruitment portal. Please note that open applications or those submitted by other means will not be considered.
- Once you have successfully submitted your application online, you will receive an automatic email confirming receipt. Please note that all communication will be via email, so please ensure that the email address linked to your applicant account is correct and that you check your email regularly.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview. Candidates will undertake an online interview with the relevant unit and a representative from Human Resources.
Benefits:
- The internship lasts for five months. All placements begin in October and March, following a specific selection process. Interns are entitled to a monthly stipend of €1,500 and may apply for a contribution towards travel expenses at the start and end of the internship.
