The partnership between the European Commission and the Council of Europe in the field of youth is seeking researchers to join the Pool of European Youth Researchers (PEYR) to provide research, advice and perspective on youth policy and practice strategies and approaches when requested by the partner institutions, their partnership and other relevant actors in the youth field.
The Pool of European Youth Researchers (PEYR) is a unique initiative on the European level and represents a contribution of both the Council of Europe and the European Commission to evidence based policy-making in the field of youth.
PEYR is used by both the European Commission and the Council of Europe, but is also open to any other interested stakeholder as a source of expertise and knowledge on youth.
Mission
The mission of the PEYR is to contribute to improving knowledge about young people in Europe, European policy and practice in the field of youth through providing research, advice, analysis and perspectives on youth policy and youth work strategies under the guidance and coordination of EUCouncil of Europe youth partnership.
Composition
The PEYR is composed of up to 35 members, as deemed necessary to carry out its mission and strive for supporting youth research development in under-represented regions in Europe. Besides providing expertise on demand, PEYR members also meet once a year to discuss broader issues connected to youth research and provide input to policy initiatives of the two partner institutions.
Members of PEYR are appointed for a first term of 1 year, renewable for a maximum of 3 years.
