Description

They are recruiting a Life Sciences Project Manager to be responsible for the implementation of two recently awarded H2020 projects, where the CCRI is a key participant. The projects follow a long and established legacy in paediatric oncology, and both aim at continuing to advance patients’ and survivors’ access to better healthcare across Europe. One of the projects in particular is closely linked to the European Reference Network on Paediatric Cancer (ERN-PaedCan), which is coordinated by the CCRI, and aims to create a platform that integrates all ERN’s research and innovation capacity through knowledge sharing, engagement with stakeholders in the rare disease domain and assembly of transdisciplinary research groups working across the global health spectrum.

Responsibilities

  • Become familiar with the projects assigned to you and respective stakeholders
  • Be responsible to efficiently implement and monitor the project tasks assigned to the CCRI under these projects
  • Execute and implement the project tasks to deliver on time, but also prepare to mitigate possible work plan deviations
  • Prepare periodic technical reports
  • Eventually, attend and/or organize meetings
  • Be a contact point of contact for the projects assigned to you

Your profile

  • Ideally academic background in Life Sciences or in another related field; experience in clinical oncology or in EU-funded projects is an advantage
  • Sound experience in project management
  • Familiarity with monitoring the implementation of projects and reporting based on performance metrics
  • Savvy on the use of MS Office programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc
  • Excellent communicator, able to prepare and deliver presentations (PowerPoint or other) of high quality
  • Ability to run projects independently, carrying the responsibility for budget and timelines
