The Youth Empowerment Forum (YEF) 2026, to be held in Switzerland, returns for its second edition – bigger, more ambitious and more globally representative than ever before. Organised by the Centre for Dialogue and Global Leadership (CGDL), the YEF returns to Geneva following the success of its first edition in 2025. This year, the forum will bring together 250 young leaders and agents of change for an immersive leadership experience at the heart of global diplomacy and humanitarian action. The programme includes structured policy dialogues, expert-led workshops, an institutional visit to the United Nations headquarters at the Palais des Nations, and a dedicated study visit with briefing sessions at the World Trade Organisation headquarters in Geneva. Designed to connect the aspirations of young people with international systems, the YEF 2026 provides participants with the visibility, networks and institutional insight needed to lead meaningful change at both local and global levels.
All young change-makers who are passionate about making a real impact and keen to connect with inspiring leaders from around the world are invited to the Youth Empowerment Forum, which will take place from 30 August to 6 September 2026 in Geneva, Switzerland.
Who can apply?
- People aged between 16 and 46
- Students, graduates, young professionals, members of civil society, media representatives, NGO staff, research centre staff and people from around the world who are passionate about global change.
- I’m passionate about the issues promoted by the event.
Benefits
Participants will take part in workshops and discussions on global dialogue, leadership, advocacy and collaborative learning. They will also enjoy cultural exchange programmes, networking sessions and the opportunity to win a start-up grant of $1,000 to support a youth-led social impact project in their community.
