The Commission yesterday endorsed Spain’s request for a specific revision of its Recovery and Resilience Plan, which Spain had submitted to the Commission on 19 March 2024. The proposed amendments are of a technical nature and stem from the comprehensive review of the Spanish plan, which was adopted by the Council on 17 October 2023.
The Spanish Recovery and Resilience Plan consists of €163 billion, of which €79.8 billion in grants and €83.2 billion in loans. It includes a total of 595 milestones and targets, 111 reforms and 142 investments.
To date, the Commission has disbursed more than 23% of the funds allocated to Spain under the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism, i.e. more than €38 billion (including also pre-financing). For more information on the Spanish Resilience Plan see this page.
An interactive map with examples of reforms and investments to which the Recovery and Resilience Facility contributes is available online. More information on the review process of the Recovery and Resilience Plans can be found here.
