The Representation of the European Commission in Spain and the Association of European Journalists, with the support of the European Parliament’s Information Office in Spain, announce the 31st edition of the “Salvador de Madariaga” European Journalism Prize.
Journalists’ associations, media outlets, journalism schools and centres and professionals in the humanities can submit candidates for each of the press, radio and television categories from today until 24 February 2025. The reasoned proposals – see the rules of the call for proposals for the documents to be provided – should be sent by registered post or delivered by hand to the registered office of the European Commission Representation in Spain, Paseo de la Castellana 46, 28046 Madrid. Las asociaciones de periodistas, los medios de información, las facultades y centros de periodismo y los profesionales del área de las humanidades pueden presentar candidatos a cada una de las modalidades de prensa, radio y televisión desde hoy mismo y hasta el 24 de febrero de 2025. Las propuestas razonadas – ver bases de la convocatoria para conocer la documentación que tendrán que aportar – deben enviarse por correo certificado o entregarse en mano en el domicilio social de la Representación de la Comisión Europea en España, en el Paseo de la Castellana 46, 28046 Madrid.
SALVADOR DE MADARIAGA AWARD
The aim of the Salvador de Madariaga Prize is to recognise the work of journalists in the Spanish media who, in the five years preceding the date of publication of this call for entries, have contributed – in the written press, radio and television – to improving knowledge of European integration and European policies.
JURY OF THE SALVADOR DE MADARIAGA PRIZE
The Representation of the European Commission, in agreement with the Association of European Journalists, will appoint a Jury composed of leading personalities from the social and political spheres and the media.
