As students who wish to study abroad are often discouraged by the cost, this contest gives them an opportunity to get the funds they need and encourages them to think in-depth about their reasons for pursuing international education.
Launched by InternationalStudent.com, the Travel Video Contest is open to 18 years old, from around the world.
Entrants should currently be international students or on an exchange programme, or had their international student education or on exchange programme interrupted, or have a future international student journey or exchange programme.
How to apply
All they have to do is make a short video of maximum two minutes, telling one or both of the following:
- How “community” has had an impact or influence on you and your international education pursuit
The video must be uploaded to one of the following platforms: YouTube, Vimeo or DailyMotion.
If the video is in a language other than English it must include English subtitles
Prizes
- First Place Winner: $4,000
- Second Place Winner: $500
- Third Place Winner: $250
- GoAbroad Choice Winner: $500
- Viewers’ Choice Award Winner: $1,000
The winner will be expected to submit a monthly blog to InternationalStudent.com. This blog will start immediately after the winner is announced. Contributions are expected at least once a month after winning the contest.
