Launched by the European Environment Agency (EEA) the photo competition “Urban Treasures” invites you to capture the essence of our cities and towns through inspiring moments for a more sustainable tomorrow.
Participants can submit photographs depicting any of the following three categories:
- Wildlife in the city
- Charming Neighbourhoods
- Green at heart
Eligibility
EU citizens, citizens of Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland and Türkiye; under the stabilisation and association agreements: North Macedonia, Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Prizes
Competition winners will receive a cash prize of EUR 1,000 in each category and EUR 500 for the Public Choice award and the Youth Prize.
The Youth Prize will be awarded to the winning entry, selected among those submitted by persons aged between 18 and 24 to any of the three competition categories.
All finalists will be put forward for the Public Choice Award and may also feature in future digital and print material from the EEA and its European partners.
The public vote will run from 30 October to 13 November 2024.
