Duties of the position
The appointee will be expected to build, maintain and run proportional multistate lifetable simulation models in Python; build, maintain and run other simulation models (e.g. Markov, agent-based) in Python, RUST and other computing languages; validate and calibrate simulation models and analyse already collected data to generate inputs to simulation models (e.g. regression analyses on survey data).
Required selection criteria
Applicants should possess a PhD or near completion of PhD in computer or data science (or closely related discipline (e.g. mathematics), with a strong ability to rapidly upskill in computer simulation modelling); proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team to achieve project goals and meet deadlines; experience using at least one statistical and/or programming language (e.g. R, STATA, Python) and experience using Microsoft Excel.
