Applications are now open for this internship programme at the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Cooperation (Europol). Europol is based in The Hague, the Netherlands, and its mission is to support EU Member States in preventing and combating all forms of serious and organised international crime, cybercrime and terrorism.
Requirements:
- Be a national of an EU Member State.
- Be of legal age.
- Hold a level of education equivalent to a full university degree or vocational training relevant to the duties of Europol (only diplomas issued by authorities of EU Member States and diplomas recognised as equivalent by the relevant bodies of EU Member States are accepted).
- Good knowledge of English and level B1 in another European Union language.
- Not have undertaken any form of work placement or employment within a European institution, agency or body (including Europol) for more than six weeks .
Duties to be performed:
- coordinating, organising and carrying out investigative and operational activities;
- notify Member States of any information and links between criminal offences affecting them;
- provide information and analytical support to Member States on international developments;
- develop, share and promote expertise on crime prevention methods and other matters;
- support cross-border activities, operations and investigations involving the exchange of information;
- proactively monitor relevant research and innovation activities;
- prepare threat assessments, strategic analyses and general situation reports relating to its objective.
