Offer Description
The Department of Economics of the University of Cyprus accepts applications for the filling of up to three (3) positions of Full-time or Part-time Specialist Scientist, for employment in the external research program IMVASSIM and theexternal research program LASCAREM.
Necessary Qualifications
The candidate must: ” hold a master’s / doctoral degree in economics or related fields. ” have research experience in mathematical analysis of microeconomic problems (with emphasis on political economy and game theory) and / or in data analysis with software such as R , Matlab , STATA etc. ” have experience in writing research essays in english.
Duties and Responsibilities
Analysis of mathematical models, data collection and analysis, conducting experiments, monitoring a research project, archiving, writing essays / research proposals and presenting results.
Benefits
The duration of employment will be from four (4) to twelve (12) months upon agreement, with the possibility of renewal.
The monthly gross earnings will range between € 870.32 – € 2175.81 depending on qualifications and experience and employment status (part-time/full/time). Employee contributions will be deducted from this amount. The research program does not provide for the payment of the 13th salary.
