The Centro de Investigação e Estudos de Sociologia (CIES-Iscte)of Iscte – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa is accepting applications for a research fellowship for a Master’s student under the protocol established between CIES-Iscte and OberCom – Observatório da Comunicação.
Work plan:
Participation in activities to analyse social networks and data relevant to the area of communication within the scope of the Communication Observatory.
Duration:
The scholarship will last for 3 months. The scholarship contract may be renewed within the duration of the research project and in accordance with the stipulations of point 4 of Article 6 of the Research Scholarship Regulations of the Foundation for Science and Technology, I.P. in force.

a) Experience in research and organisation of international research projects in the field of communication;
b) Experience in developing and analysing databases
c) Experience in data analysis using programming languages or artificial intelligence platforms;
d) Solid knowledge of spoken and written English.
Admission requirements:
Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in the field of Communication Sciences and be enrolled in a Master’s programme in New Media Management (according to Article 6 of the Research Scholarship Regulations of the Foundation for Science and Technology, I.P. – Reg. no. 950/2019).
Academic degrees obtained in foreign countries need to be registered by a Portuguese institution, in accordance with Decree-Law no. 66/2018 of 16 August and Ministerial Order no. 33/2019 of 25 January. Additional Information
The amount of the grant corresponds to 930.98 € according to the table of values of grants awarded by FCT, I.P. in the country (https://www.fct.pt/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Tabela-de-Valores-SMM_2023.pdf). In addition to the stipend, there is the corresponding voluntary social insurance, when applicable and if the candidate chooses to take it out, as well as personal accident insurance. The grant will be paid monthly by bank transfer.
