Offer description
The project is about Cryptography and Coding Theory for Green IT. On the one hand the pervasiveness of the Internet of Everything requires every electronic device to make use of cryptographic primitives; on the other hand, the advent of the quantum computer will require increasingly expensive cryptographic protocols in terms of energy consumption. The development of post-quantum lightweight cryptography will therefore be crucial. In the Green IT context, a central role is also played by Cloud Computing, which requires both special cryptography and good mathematical codes for efficient storage. The project aims to produce original contributions, such as mathematical primitives, protocols or implementations, in one or more of the following areas: lightweight post-quantum digital signatures based on elliptic curves; lightweight homomorphic encryption; codes for cloud and storage (Erasure codes, LR codes, PIR codes, rank-metric codes).
