The Liechtenstein Business Law School of the University of Liechtenstein is seeking to fill the following position as of 1 September 2024 or by agreement: Professor for Banking and Financial Markets Law at the University of Liechtenstein
The University of Liechtenstein is a public university specialising in economics (entrepreneurship, finance, business informatics and business law), architecture and spatial planning. The focus of its content is strongly oriented towards the needs of the economy, politics and society in Liechtenstein and the neighbouring region.
MAIN TASKS
The incumbent’s area of activity includes teaching courses in the field of banking and financial market law, in particular with reference to banking supervisory law and sustainable finance in education and training, content management of subject-specific courses and conferences, as well as the implementation of research projects and application-oriented knowledge transfer, and includes involvement in university administration.
You will perform your duties with a high level of commitment and teamwork orientation and will fit into a university culture in which entrepreneurial thinking and action are strongly marked.
REQUIREMENTS
- A university degree in law with a doctorate, a full habilitation (or an achievement equivalent to a habilitation), publications in professional journals, extensive proven experience in the management of an academic organisational unit and in teaching at university level, very good didactic and pedagogical skills, as well as proven experience in the implementation of research and transfer projects.
- Relevant professional experience, also outside the university sector, as well as a good knowledge of the Liechtenstein legal system and the Liechtenstein financial centre would be an asset.
- As a person of integrity, the incumbent is expected to be very willing to create and maintain networks in practice and with domestic and foreign cooperation partners, as well as to secure funding from third parties.
- Commitment to participate in self-management as well as in the committees of the university administration and in the management of academic staff.
