The latest agri-food trade report published by the European Commission shows that EU agri-food exports increased in July 2025 compared to the previous month, reaching €20.7 billion. The EU agri-food trade surplus increased by 19% in July to €4.6 billion.
EUagri-food exports reached EUR 20.7 billion in July 2025, an increase of 8% compared to the previous month, and a similar level to July 2024. Since January, cumulated EU exports reached EUR 139.4 billion, an increase of 2 % ( EUR 2.7 billion) compared to the same period in 2024, mainly due to higher prices. The UK remained the top destination (23%).
EUagri-food imports increased by 5 % m-o-m in July, reaching EUR 16.1 billion. They were 10% higher than in July 2024. Since January, cumulated EU imports reached €113 billion. This represents an increase of EUR 14.9 billion (15%) compared to 2024, mainly due to high prices for several imports, such as cocoa and coffee. Imports from Côte d’Ivoire (‘ 2.2 bn, 59 %) and Canada (‘ 1.3 bn, 93 %) recorded the largest increase. Imports from Russia decreased again by 70 % (- EUR 561 million), continuing the downward trend.
