The European University Institute (EUI) is an international organisation established in 1972, as well as a research university focused exclusively on postgraduate, doctoral and postdoctoral studies and advanced research. It is located in the hills overlooking the city of Florence, Italy.
The EUI also houses the Historical Archives of the European Union.
The Information and Communication Technology Service (ICT Service) of the European University Institute (EUI) is seeking an intern to support the work of the EUI Web Unit.
The ICT Web Unit is coordinated by the Head of Web Communication and is responsible for the EUI’s institutional digital web services and digital strategy. This unit ensures that all needs and priorities are efficiently integrated into a modern, secure, fast and fully functional digital campus, geared towards the EUI’s main objectives.
Duties:
Under the supervision of the EUI Web Team, the intern will contribute to the work of the ICT Web Unit and will be assigned the following tasks:

Integrate multiple data sources by developing and customising web APIs

Configure CMS, LMS, and CRIS systems

Review, edit, proofread and optimise web content

Work across teams to improve the overall user experience of the platforms

Undertake various design tasks involved in the web development lifecycle, from start to finish.
- Provide support to end users, along with a professional development plan.
Requirements:
- Be a national of a Member State of the European Union or of a candidate country benefiting from a pre-accession strategy.
- Have completed the first cycle of university studies and obtained a full degree or equivalent by the application deadline. The minimum national qualifications required by the legislation of the country in which the degree was obtained are available at the corresponding link.
- Have obtained the last university degree no more than three years before the application deadline. The three-year rule does not apply to fellows who are enrolled in additional university studies at the time of applying for the internship at the EUI.
- Have a good knowledge of English (CEFR level: B2 or higher) and a satisfactory knowledge of another European Union language to the extent necessary to perform the duties assigned.
- University degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g. Computer Engineering, Programming, Multimedia Engineering, Computer Science);
- Knowledge of JavaScript (or similar);
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS;
- Ability to organise and prioritise work.
Advantages:
The intern will receive a scholarship of€1,540 per month.
Internships must begin on the 1st day ofFebruary, April, June, September and November.
