The Faculty of Law (FLL) invites applications for the position of Full/Associate/Assistant Professor in Law in the areas of Chinese Law & Global Legal Studies. Special knowledge in Chinese civil law, Chinese company law, Chinese financial law, Chinese Maritime law, as well as Chinese labour and social security law in combination with a comparative or global understanding will be considered an advantage.
The Faculty of Law of University of Macau is the oldest law school in Macao and plays a very important role in preparing jurists who are familiar with Macao S.A.R. legal system, as well as, educating jurists who are competent in legal research and practices in Macau law, international law and comparative law. Qualifications
Applicants for the post of Full/Associate/Assistant Professor must hold a PhD degree in Law. Preference will be given to applicants with an educational background from international renowned universities, extensive teaching experience in bilingual capacity (Chinese & English), and the ability to provide strong evidence of outstanding research achievements, supported by publications in internationally recognized refereed journals.
The selected candidate is expected to assume duty in 2024.
Remuneration
A taxable annual remuneration starting from MOP1,210,300 (approx. USD149,420) for the position of Full Professor, MOP1,019,200 (approx. USD125,830) for the position of Associate Professor and MOP828,100 (approximately USD102,230) for the position of Assistant Professor will be commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% – 7% after various discretionary exemptions.
