The Gender Equality Forum is a dynamic event designed to bring people together to discuss the most pressing issues relating to gender equality in the EU. The Forum is taking place at a crucial juncture, as key EU priorities – such as care for dependent people and the ongoing negotiations on the EU’s multiannual budget – intersect with a renewed focus on competitiveness. We are looking for young voices to help maintain the momentum and ensure that gender equality remains a cornerstone of the EU’s economic and social progress.
We want to give you, the young people of Europe, the opportunity to have your say on this issue.
The discussions at the Forum will be based on three thematic areas:
- Care as a fundamental pillar of resilient economies.
- Skills for innovation: how to address gender gaps in opportunities and working environments.
- The cost of gender gaps and how to promote gender equality as a driver of economic development.
The Forum will feature a wide-ranging programme of debates, workshops, inspirational talks and other activities. We invite you to join a diverse group of participants: from representatives of EU institutions and civil society organisations to entrepreneurs and artists.
The event will be held in English. It will take place both in person and online, with international sign language interpretation available for some sessions, both in person and online.
