The European Festivals Fund for Emerging Artists (EFFEA) programme supports the international career of emerging artists across Europe.
It offers two types of grants:
1. Discovery Grants: 40 grants of €8,000 each for early career artists who will engage in residencies and receive mentorship, facilitated by a host festival and two partner festivals.
2. Springboard Grants: 10 grants of €15,000 each for mid-career artists who are well-established nationally and are looking to expand their careers internationally. Artists will present their work across three different stages, supported by a leading festival and two partner festivals.
Residencies should take place between 1 June 2024 and 31 May 2025.
Eligibility
Arts festivals from EU Member States and Creative Europe countries registered on FestivalFinder.eu. Festivals from Israel, Moldova, Palestine, the UK, Switzerland, and Türkiye can participate as partner festivals or propose artists for the programme.
Eligible disciplines
Festivals and artists should work in one or more of these fields: architecture, ballet, contemporary dance, circus, design/applied arts, digital arts, film, folklore and folk arts, heritage, interdisciplinary, literature, music, opera, street art, theatre, photography/ video, sculpture, painting.
