Every two years, the European Parliament organises the European Youth Event (EYE) bringing together thousands of young people from all over the European Union and beyond to shape and share their ideas on the future of Europe.
EYE2020 will take place at the European Parliament in Strasbourg on 29 and 30 May 2020. Following the event, the concerns, hopes and ideas of young people will be presented in a report distributed to the Members of the European Parliament (MEPs).
Tasks
The European Parliament has launched a Call for Reporters for the EYE2020 Report. Reporters will assist the EYE Team and the Editors-in-Chief in the production of the EYE2020 Report.
- Five reporters will collect, edit, classify and research written ideas;
- Three multimedia reporters will produce and edit multimedia content.
Eligible criteria
Reporters must be EU nationals (including UK nationals) and be 18-30 years old.
They should have very good writing and communication skills, have a flexible, innovative and quick mind, be motivated team-workers, be committed to the project with a sense of duty and responsibility and be passionate about EU Affairs and Youth policies.
How to apply
Applicants should fill in an online application form including a video of up to 100 seconds (in English) of their personal motivation to work on this project. The video has to be uploaded on Vimeo or YouTube and the link inserted in the application form.
Remuneration
Reporters receive 900 euros each under the provision of services contract, lasting from 1 February 2020 to 31 July 2020.
Travel and accommodation expenses occurred for work-related missions to Brussels and Strasbourg will be covered separately by the European Parliament.
