The group of MEPs led by the President of the Delegation for Relations with Central American Countries, Tilly Metz, will be in Costa Rica from May 17 to 19 to meet with authorities, organizations and collective movements to jointly analyze the challenges facing the European Union and Costa Rica.

The MEPs plan to meet with the Minister of the Presidency, Natalia Díaz, the Minister of Environment and Energy, Franz Tattenbach Capra, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Arnoldo André Tinoco, among other high-level personalities. They will also hold meetings with civil society representatives on gender equality, LGBTI+ human rights and the environment.
During their stay they will also visit the La Uruca Shelter Unit for migrants and the Costa Rican Coffee Institute. Likewise, the Delegation will hold a meeting with representatives of international organizations, to learn about the lines of cooperation they have been developing.
