Yesterday, 11 December, took place in the Paraninfo of the Rectorate of the University of Seville the signing of theGeneral Protocolof Action of the European Information Network of Andalusia (RIEA), which was attended by representatives of all the institutions that are part of this network and Mr. Carlos Arturo Bernal Bergua , Minister of Tourism and Foreign Andalusia of the Junta de Andalucía. Carlos Arturo Bernal Bergua, Councillor for Tourism and External Andalusia of the Junta de Andalucía, and all of them proceeded to the signing of the protocol that establishes the rules of operation of the RIEA, a fundamental pillar in the promotion and dissemination of the values and opportunities of the European Union in Andalusia.
The Rector of the University of Almeria, Mr. José Joaquín Céspedes Lorente, proceeded to sign this protocol of action, since the Euroepa Documentation Centre of the University of Almeria is a full member of the RIEA.
Following the signing of the protocol and on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the creation of the RIEA, a conference was held under the name “The European Information Network of Andalusia: challenges in the 2050 horizon “, which served to reflect on the role of the RIEA, analysing the present and future challenges and strengthening our connection with Europe in a world in constant change.
