The new call for applications for the Young European Ambassadors (YEA) initiative is now open! Join this dynamic, non-political and voluntary network that builds bridges of friendship between the EU and its eastern neighbours.
Young people passionate about cooperation between the EU and its eastern partners are invited to become the next Young European Ambassadors. The network offers the opportunity to take part in local and international activities, represent young people and develop skills in communication, organisation, teamwork and civic engagement.
Who can apply?
Young people aged 16 to 26 who are citizens of:
- A Member State of the European Union.
- Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova or Ukraine.
- the United Kingdom.
Ukrainian applicants may apply from Ukraine or from any EU country in which they currently reside.
Profile and requirements:
We are looking for young people who:
- Have a good command of English.
- Are interested in EU affairs and cooperation between the EU and their country.
- Have an interest in public diplomacy, dialogue and the exchange of knowledge.
- Are committed to volunteering and the development of their communities.
- Show initiative, the ability to work in a team and a willingness to take part in national and international activities.
What will you do as a Young European Ambassador?
YEAs take part in activities designed to bring the EU closer to local communities and encourage youth participation. Among other opportunities:
- Visits to schools, universities and local communities.
- Organising workshops, events and local initiatives.
- Activities focusing on EU opportunities, education, scholarships and personal development.
- Creating content, podcasts and communication materials.
- Participation in Euroclubs and youth projects.
- Representing young people at national, regional and international events.
- Collaboration with other young people and organisations from different countries.
