The European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) is an autonomous body of the European Union, established to help promote and strengthen gender equality, including the integration of a gender perspective into all EU policies and the resulting national policies, as well as combating discrimination on grounds of sex and raising awareness of gender equality amongst EU citizens.
The EIGE is advertising 11-month internship opportunities within its Dissemination and Engagement Unit for graduates who are nationals of an EU Member State, an EFTA country or a country eligible under the IPA. The placement takes place at the Agency’s premises in Vilnius, Lithuania.
The successful intern will have an internship supervisor throughout the duration of the placement. The main objectives of the internship are:
- To provide practical training experience in key areas of the Agency’s work covered by the Outreach and Engagement Unit (in particular, stakeholder relations, knowledge management and capacity building);
- To broaden and apply the knowledge acquired during studies or professional experience;
- To provide practical insight into EU agencies and institutions;
- To enable trainees to gain work experience within the context of an EU agency.
Who can apply?
- Graduates in business administration, finance, law, human resources management, knowledge management and communications, or similar fields.
- Nationals of an EU Member State, an EFTA country or a country meeting the IPA criteria.
- Applicants must have a good command of English, knowledge of another EU language and IT skills.
- Applicants must not have previously undertaken a traineeship at an EU institution.
