Eurodyssey is an inter-regional work placement programme. It enables young people aged between 18 and 30 to take part in a paid vocational training placement lasting between three and seven months at a company abroad. The aim of the programme is to enable young people to gain work experience whilst improving their knowledge of a foreign language.
The vast majority of regions have organised a language course upon the trainees’ arrival. This course may be intensive and take place over three or four weeks prior to the work placement, or it may run over a longer period, in parallel with the practical training. With regard to the work placement, during this period at the company, the beneficiary holds a position defined before the start of the placement. They are subject to the host organisation’s working hours and rules.
