There is an open call for applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellowshipv (BIPD), under reference SAI/2024/17 in the scope of the project Wheatbiome, at the institution Faculdade de Ciências Médicas|NOVA Medical School (FCM|NMS) from Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (UNL), supported by income from the above mentioned project financed by the European Comission.

Duties of the position

Preparation of supporting documentation for a clinical study, in particular preparation of dossier for submission to Ethics Committee; Prepare and conduct a clinical nutritional intervention study; Creation of clinical study databases; Preparation of biological samples for biochemical and composition analysis of the oral and fecal microbiota; Analysis and statistical treatment of clinical data and microbiota composition and metabolomics data. Participation in consortium meetings. Scientific project management.

Required selection criteria

  •  PhD in the area of ​​Health Sciences, Biomedicine or related areas;
  • The admitted candidate must satisfy the following conditions: the PhD degree must have been obtained in the three years prior to the date of submission of the application for the scholarship; post-doctoral research must be carried out in a host entity other than the entity where the research work leading to the award of the doctoral degree was carried out.
Candidates who possess the appropriate skills for the position will eventually be called for an interview, with 35% weight for the interview assessment and 65% weight for the curricular assessment. If the interview is waived by a unanimous and duly justified decision of the Jury, the evaluation of the scientific and curricular background will have a weighting of 100%.
Benefits 

The monthly amount of the fellowship corresponds to € 1,801.00 (one thousand eight hundred and one euros), paid monthly by bank transfer, according to the table of stipend values of FCT, I.P., in the country
