30 de April de 2020

On the occasion of the health emergency caused by the expansion of COVID-19, declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO), the Regional Government of Andalusia has launched PLAnd COVID-19, an Andalusian Platform for the Reception, Identification, Analysis and Transfer of Innovation Capacities and Solutions for the fight against COVID-19 by Andalusian companies and R&D&I agents of the Andalusian Knowledge System (SAC).

Andalusian Knowledge Agency

Aim

The implementation of this initiative aims to provide a platform to collect, identify and analyse possible innovative technologies and solutions to respond to the health needs caused by the pandemic.

To this end, it is essential to have innovative ideas, technologies, products and services that have emerged from the existing available capacities of both the Andalusian business sector and the R&D&I agents that make up the Andalusian Knowledge System so that together they can respond to the urgent health needs that the Andalusian Public Health System (APHS) has to face.

The Andalusian Knowledge Agency

The Andalusian Knowledge Agency, attached to the Ministry of Economy, Knowledge, Business and University, develops and maintains this platform which seeks to promote and boost knowledge transfer and innovation linked to health needs detected in the wake of the pandemic.

In short, the objective of this tool is to identify those companies and agents of the SAC that can provide the health system with innovative components, products or services based on their knowledge, technological or productive capacities.

An open space will be offered so that companies and agents of the SAC can contribute and offer solutions that respond to the current needs of the health system caused by the pandemic originated by the SARS-COV2 virus, either individually or collaboratively.

Innovation solutions

Among the capacities and solutions referred to, it is urgent to respond to those that involve the development and production of material and equipment of a sanitary nature and production of equipment and development of platforms.

Among the studies and projects that are, among others, in the Andalusian catalogue of technologies and innovative solutions for the fight against Covid-19 you can find:

  • “ANDALUSIA BREATHS”: ROBUST ARTIFICIAL BREATHERS OF QUICK MANUFACTURING: The massive penetration of the CoVid-19 in the population has caused the demand for respirators for mechanical ventilation to shoot up exponentially worldwide.
  • DISPOSABLE MEDICAL MASK: 3 LAYER MASK WITH MUCKETS (100% NEW MATERIAL): The company SUMAR S.L. can provide the health system with products that contribute to offer solutions that respond to the current needs of the health system caused by the pandemic originated by the SARS-COV2 virus.
  • 1. QUANTUM COMPUTING. 2. APP (MLISTABLE) BEING USED IN PRIMARY CARE: Using a digital circuit design inspired by the quantum phenomenon, the Annealer Digital Computational Architecture opens new logical doors preparing the way to face business problems and find solutions faster and more efficiently. The solution is designed to respond to large-scale combinatorial optimization problems that are currently untreatable using conventional computers.
  • 1.500 COVID-19 ANALYSIS BY PCR: At the beginning of the epidemic the clinic GENÉTICA AVANZADA DNACTIVE SL closed agreements with several laboratories in order to offer coronavirus detection analysis by PCR to the patients of our genetics clinic. We currently have the capacity to perform up to 1,500 Coronavirus tests by PCR.
