Applications are invited Applications are invited Applications are invited from suitably qualified graduates in history and health sciences related disciplines for a fulltime PhD by research scholarship funded by the WIT President’s Scholarship Programme 2022 to study Ireland 1914- 1923 Midwifery – Politics and Professionalism in by WIT for PhD students. The successful applicant, as part of their scholarship, will be expected to contribute up to 3 hours of teaching per week within the School.

- Stipend:€15,000

Requirements
- Honours Degree (minimum 2:1) or equivalent in history or health/ social sciences related discipline.
- A post graduate degree or close to completion of a post graduate degree in a history related discipline.
- Knowledge and experience of the historical method
- Knowledge of the midwifery profession
- Experience of archival research
- Knowledge of and experience in using archives pertinent to the area of the study’s focus
- Applicants whose first language is not English must submit evidence of competency in English.
