Model European Union is an inclusive programme for young people that simulates EU decision-making and fosters personal and professional growth. The 2025 edition takes place from April 6 to 10 in Strasbourg, France.
During the conference, participants play the roles of Ministers of EU Member States, Members of the European Parliament, interest representatives, journalists, and interpreters.
Who can apply:
– Young people from 18 to 30 years old
– Participants need to have at least an intermediate (B1) level of English.
– Participants need to be present for the full duration of MEU Strasbourg.
Roles:
– Member of the European Parliament (MEP),
– Minister of the Council of the European Union,
– Journalist,
– Interest representative,
– Interpreter (the call will open on 10 December).
Participants may choose up to two different roles from the five proposed and submit a motivation letter for both their 1st and 2nd choice.
Fees
There is a participation fee covering accommodation, food, and conference materials. This fee may be waived or reimbursed depending on special conditions.
