This grant is funded by Portuguese national funds through Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, under project UIDP/00698/2020, of Centre for Archaeology (UNIARQ), from School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon.
The scholarship will be awarded for 12 months, and may be renewed up to a maximum of 48 months and during the eligibility of the project.
The scholarship will be supervised by a Professor indicated by the candidate.
The PhD student will be conducting archaeological research namely in one of the following fields: Raw material, lithic technology and functional analysis; Paradigm changes in ceramic consumption: local productions and imports; Population, territories and resource management; Arqueoscience; History and Theory of Archaeology.
Stipend in accordance to the Portuguese Science Foundation salary scale, €1144,64 per month, paid by bank transfer.
Insurance costs (Seguro de Acidentes Pessoais and Seguro Social Voluntário) are supported by the employer.
The following applicants are eligible:
a) Portuguese citizens or citizens of other Member States of the European Union;
b) Citizens of other countries;
c) Stateless persons;
d) Political refugees.
