During the week of 9-14 June, the “ESERA Doctoral School 2025 ” will take place at the University of Almeria, jointly organised by three Andalusian universities (Malaga-Jaen-Almeria) with the collaboration of the European Documentation Centre of the University of Almeria.
This activity is aimed at doctoral students who are doing research in the field of science education. Forty-nine participants have been selected out of more than 250, taking into account a summary of their research, as well as the diversity of countries and topics represented.
During this week, students will have the opportunity to present and discuss their work in small groups of 7 participants, supported by two mentors per group, and to participate in informal sessions with mentors and workshops given by experienced science education researchers.
ESERA (The European Science Education Research Association) is a European organisation with a commitment to institutional collaboration that has led it to participate in reports to the European Commissioners dedicated to research in science education, and which pursues the following aims:
- to improve the scope and quality of research and research training in science education in Europe
- provide a forum for collaboration in science education research between European countries, representing the professional interests of science education researchers in Europe
- seek to relate research to science education policy and practice in Europe
- foster links between science education researchers in Europe and similar communities in other parts of the world.
