On 3 March 2022, the Council adopted Council Decision (CFSP) 2022/376[1].
The Council extends the Decision until 6 March 2023. With regard to entries 1, 3, 7 and 9 in the Annex, the measures in Article 1 shall apply until 6 September 2022.
The Annex is amended as set out in the Annex to this Decision.
The Candidate Countries North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Albania[2], the country of the Stabilisation and Association Process and potential candidate Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the EFTA countries Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway, members of the European Economic Area, as well as Ukraine align themselves with this Council Decision.
They will ensure that their national policies conform to this Council Decision.
The European Union takes note of this commitment and welcomes it.

Declaration by the High Representative on behalf of the EU on the alignment of certain countries concerning restrictive measures in view of the situation in Belarus
On 2 March 2022, the Council adopted Council Decision (CFSP) 2022/356[3] amending Council Decision 2012/642/CFSP.
The Council decided to take further restrictive measures in response to Belarus’s involvement in Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.
The Candidate Countries North Macedonia, Montenegro and Albania[4], the country of the Stabilisation and Association Process and potential candidate Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the EFTA countries Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway, members of the European Economic Area, align themselves with this Council Decision.
They will ensure that their national policies conform to this Council Decision.
The European Union takes note of this commitment and welcomes it.
