The NATO Centre of Excellence for Energy Security (ENSEC COE) invites creative minds to explore the impact of a power cut on everyday life. Grab your camera or mobile phone, analyse how a power cut affects society, and propose innovative solutions to strengthen resilience at individual, community and national levels.
Consider:
- How would your daily routine change?
- How well prepared are you, really?
- What would be the hardest part?
- What practical tools, strategies or habits could help you become more resilient to power cuts?
- What could schools, communities or governments do to better prepare us for power cuts?
Requirements
- Participants must be nationals of NATO member countries or active partners, or be affiliated with an educational institution in those countries, and be aged between 14 and 29.
- Videos must be in English (or include English subtitles/translation).
- Video length: between 3 and 14 minutes.
- Entries must be original works; group entries are permitted.
- By submitting their entry, participants authorise the organiser to use the video for promotional purposes.
- Videos must not contain offensive or harmful content; breaches will result in disqualification.
Prize
- First prize: 300 EUR
- People’s Choice Award: 200 EUR
- Small gifts for the top 5 entries.
- The winners will be announced before 30 September 2026.
