The LUX Audience Award Cinema Young Professionals programme offers 27 professionals under the age of 35 who work in cinemas the opportunity to attend training and networking events, and to promote the LUX Audience Award at national and European level.
What is it?
The fully funded programme will kick off in Strasbourg, France, between Monday 5 and Thursday 8 October 2026 (exact dates to be confirmed), with the announcement of the films nominated for the LUX Audience Award. The programme will include information sessions with key partners, stakeholders and relevant film organisations (filmmakers, distributors, producers, critics, etc.) on the European Parliament and the LUX Audience Award.
Eligibility criteria
- Be a permanent employee or hold a long-term contract in a role directly related to film exhibition, programming, communications, marketing, social media, film education or audience development.
- Be aged between 18 and 35.
- Be a citizen or resident of an EU Member State
- Be available to participate fully in both modules of the Programme: 1) the Training Module, which will take place in Strasbourg in October 2026; and 2) the Communication Campaign, which involves promoting national participation in the film industry and organising communication activities between October 2026 and June 2027.
