Associate Professor of Data Management in Estonia

Duties and responsibilities

• Lecturing and conducting seminars in Data Management at all levels of higher education.
• Conducting independent research at the international level in the field of Data Management.
• Publishing in reputable scientific venues.
• Applying and leading R&D projects.
• Supervising MSc and PhD students.
• Performing at least one managerial task at the university is recommended.
• Participation in activities related to the promotion and implementation of the area in Estonia and at the international level.
• Collaboration with Estonian IT and/or manufacturing companies in their applied projects.

Required qualifications
PhD or an equivalent qualification

Required experience

• Teaching experience at the Bachelor’s and Master’s levels is required, including successful supervision of Master’s or PhD students.
• Research experience and publications in the area of specialization, the volume of which is equivalent to at least two doctoral theses.
• A track record of publications in highly reputable venues in the area of specialization or a related field is desirable.
• Success in applying for research funding and managing or performing contracts concerned with R&D activities in the past five years.
• A solid international network and science outreach activities are considered advantageous.
• Experience in supervising students is desirable.

Required language skills
Excellent command of the English language is required. Estonian is recommended but not required.

Additional information on remuneration
From 3750 euros (gross) per month depending on work experience and qualifications
