This policy brief intends to provide information and support for advocacy in Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) policy making. It develops around the idea, shared among others by the United Nations (UN) the Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (DG ECHO), as well as the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, that there is no such thing as a natural disaster, and the risk of what disasters there are can therefore be reduced by people. The brief addresses the need to build ownership and to foster inclusion in Disaster Risk Reduction framework and its associated policies. It first presents the main concepts and frameworks of reference for DRR actors. Then it gives an overview of the main global trends, both positive and challenging, drawing from experiences matured during recent disasters. Finally, it proposes recommendations to policy actors.

El estudio examina los efectos de la ayuda excepcional establecida en el Reglamento (UE) nº 2015/1853 y el Reglamento (UE) nº 2016/1613, como parte de las medidas excepcionales de ajuste aplicadas durante las perturbaciones del mercado de 2014-2016 en el sector lácteo

Los resultados recogidos en la encuesta sobre préstamos bancarios de octubre de 2023 se refieren a los cambios observados durante el tercer trimestre de 2023 y a las expectativas para el cuarto trimestre de 2023. La encuesta se realizó entre el 15 de septiembre y el 2 de octubre de 2023.

El objetivo de este estudio es proporcionar a la Comisión los datos y análisis específicos necesarios para apoyar la evaluación ex post de Horizonte 2020 en relación con los criterios de evaluación «pertinencia» y «coherencia interna», así como su combinación de políticas. Además, las conclusiones y recomendaciones del estudio servirán de base para la ejecución de Horizonte Europa y, potencialmente, de futuros programas marco (PM).

On 10th of October 2022, REA Unit B.3 “Biodiversity, Circular Economy and Environment” together with the Horizon 2020 project “PoshBee”, organised a workshop of some key EU-funded projects on pollinators (defined as all wild and managed species that contribute to pollination services in the EU). The objective was to promote dialogue, identify R&I needs and gaps, and define common messages and recommendations in order to contribute to bee and pollinator health, sustainable pollination services, and pollinator monitoring.
