MEPs Lina Gálvez (S&D) and Rosa Estarás (EPP) will analyse the Roadmap for Women’s Rights and explain the European Parliament’s proposals for this legislature. During the event, the short documentary “Semillas de Kivu”, recent winner of a Goya award, will be screened.
The European Parliament Office in Spain is organising an event to discuss the state of gender equality in Europe on 7 March from 9.30 to 12.30 at the headquarters of the European institutions in Spain (Paseo de la Castellana, 46 Madrid).
The event will begin with the presentation of the Women’s Rights Roadmap by Irina Vasiliu , political analyst at the Representation of the European Commission in Spain. Next, Lina Gálvez , Chair of the Committee on Women’s Rights and Gender Equality of the European Parliament (S&D), and Rosa Estarás , Vice-Chair of the same parliamentary committee (EPP), will speak. After their interventions, a dialogue will be opened with the attendees of the meeting.
The event will close with a screening of “Semillas de Kivu”, the recent winner of the Goya Award for Best Documentary Short Film , followed by a Q&A with directors Néstor López and Carlos Valle . The closing speech will be given by María Andrés , director of the European Parliament Office in Spain.
