The world of sport is coming together this week to celebrate Europe Day (9 May) with the #SportwithEurope campaign, organised by the European Parliament, the European Commission and the Consejo Superior de Deportes.
Several federations from different sports will show their support, in their respective competitions, for the symbols of the European Union, such as the flag and the anthem, and underline that the values of sport and those of Europe are the same, at a time when it is 80 years since the end of the Second World War, 40 years since the signing of the Treaty of Accession of Spain and Portugal to the EU, and 75 years since the Schuman declaration. Democracy, human rights and respect unite Europe and sport.
