The European Commission has launched a recruitment campaign to randomly select citizens from all 27 EU Member States. The goal of this campaign is to invite citizens contacted by our partners to register their interest in joining a European citizen panel on a new European budget that aligns with our ambition.
The recruitment is done through direct contact and managed by the Sortition Foundation, the European Commission’s official partner. Ultimately, 150 citizens will be randomly selected from all the registered individuals to represent the demographic diversity of the EU and will be invited to travel to Brussels. They will work together to formulate specific recommendations for a new European budget that meets our ambition.
