The research group of Prof. Dimitrios Papadopoulos at the University of Würzburg investigates RNA-based mechanisms of tumor maintenance.
They are currently looking for an ambitious PhD candidate with an outstanding background in Biochemistry. The position is funded by the UbiQancer CRC/TRR 387 and University core funding. The project will be carried out in the vibrant Biocenter of the University of Würzburg.
The succesful candidate will characterize first-of-their-kind proteolysis targeting chimera (PROTAC) compounds in colorectal cancer cells.
Requirements
- Excellent MSc degree in biochemistry, or a related field.
- Wet-lab experience in one of these fields.
- Fluency in written/spoken English (minimum C1 level), knowledge of German is not required.
- Prior experience in compound screening assays, such as HiBiT is highly advantageous.
