Launched by the European Commission, the Young Energy Ambassadors (YEA) programme offers a unique opportunity to join a dynamic group of young professionals for a year-long mandate. Participants will engage in EU policymaking on energy, collaborate with policy experts, deepen their knowledge of energy topics, and share policy messages within their communities.
Who can apply
Young people aged 18 to 35 (born between 1 March 1989 and 1 March 2007, as of the application closing date).
Legally residing in an EU country.
Actively involved in the energy sector in Europe through studies, volunteering, professional work, or personal initiatives.
Committed to participating in the one-year mandate from April 2025 to June 2026.
Programme
Selected ambassadors will:
Attend and actively participate in the European Sustainable Energy Week (10–12 June 2025) in Brussels (expenses covered).
Take part in additional activities such as policy dialogues, webinars, outreach initiatives, and a mentorship scheme throughout their mandate.
